With the rising incidence of chronic and lifestyle diseases in people, the demand for diagnostic tests is also increasing in the healthcare industry. Biopsy is the most common test conducted to check the presence of cancer biomarkers in a body. Based on the type of cancer a patient is suffering from, the doctor performs the biopsy which is suitable for the cancer type.

Normally, a tissue biopsy is considered wherein a sample of the tissue is extracted from the body to test the presence of cancerous biomarkers. However, this is a minimally invasive procedure, a small incision is made to extract the affected tissue from the body. One such way to diagnose cancer is through liquid biopsy. It is a non-invasive procedure, which can detect the presence of cancer biomarkers in the fluids of the body, such as blood. This test can possibly help in diagnosing the cancer at an early stage and planning the right treatment for it. The non-invasive nature of the test is likely to increase the demand for it, thus, leading to an increase in the overall liquid biopsy market.
