CAR T-cell (Chimeric Antigen Receptor T-cell) therapy is used predominantly in the treatment of various hematological malignancies (HMs), such as acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), lymphoma (diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), follicular lymphoma, mantle cell lymphoma), and multiple myeloma (MM). HMs are blood cancers caused due to the uncontrolled growth of lymphoid and hematopoietic tissues (bone marrow). HMs are clinically and biologically heterogeneous disorders responsible for nearly 6.5% of all cancers across the globe, around 9.0% of cancers in the U.S. and Europe collectively.
