CAR T-Cell Therapy - Treatment of Various Hematological Malignancies

CAR T-cell (Chimeric Antigen Receptor T-cell) therapy is used predominantly in the treatment of various hematological malignancies (HMs), such as acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), lymphoma (diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), follicular lymphoma, mantle cell lymphoma), and multiple myeloma (MM). HMs are blood cancers caused due to the uncontrolled growth of lymphoid and hematopoietic tissues (bone marrow). HMs are clinically and biologically heterogeneous disorders responsible for nearly 6.5% of all cancers across the globe, around 9.0% of cancers in the U.S. and Europe collectively. According to the estimates provided by Global Cancer Observatory (Globocan), an international agency for research on cancer, the total number of prevalent cases of hematologic malignancies in the world was 2,903,711 in 2018. The U.S. contributed around 15% of global prevalent cases of hematologic malignancies, and China contributed around 17% of total cases in 2018. As per the data published by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, in the U.S., approximately one person is diagnosed with hematologic cancer every three minutes. It is also estimated that by the end of 2020, the incidence of leukemia, lymphoma, or myeloma in the U.S. will reach 178,520 cases.

Increasing Adoption of Lidar in Construction Applications

The construction industry is continuously growing and has been witnessing various technological innovations. The construction industry depicts high complexity, steep costs, and low toleration for error, that facilitate the adoption of laser scanning. Lidars have enabled the construction industry to gain 3D models of existing space and build digital plans on those real spaces. Digital collaboration frameworks such as building information modelling (BIM) deliver the value of the scans to every element of a construction team in formats that are best suited to their needs. BIM schematics also provide continuing value to facility maintenance and operation teams. BIS Research Report on Lidar Market Numerous stages of construction projects are scanned for quality assurance, cross-checking with models, and spotting errors. Lidars can also be deployed for quality evaluation of prefabricated materials, allowing an efficient, and cheap evaluation. Furthermore, lidars find applications i...
