Counter-UAS Market Opportunities and Revenue Expectation Forecast to 2021

Counter-drone technology, also known as C-UAS, counter-UAS, or C-UAS technology, refers to a type of device used to locate, fix, track, identify, and neutralize unidentified unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The increase in the use of commercial drones and incidents has resulted in the necessity for counter UAV technology or anti-drone systems which neutralize rogue drones. Some of the anti-drone systems use sensors to detect UAVs, identify threats using electro-optical/infrared imagery and RF emissions, and neutralize the threat posed by unidentified UAVs.

A counter-UAS is capable of detecting, tracking as well as seizing the UAVs. Some of the techniques that are used to detect and trail UAS are radar, electro-optical/infrared, radiofrequency, and acoustic systems. Interdiction helps in neutralizing UAVs which reduces the threats posed by drones. Further neutralizing of drones can be done based on protocol-based interdiction, sensor-based interdiction, jamming, or physical interdiction. The challenges that are faced while adopting these technologies include economic feasibility, effective contingency plans, and regulations, among others.

The initial adopters of counter-UAS technologies have been defense organizations; the C-UAV systems are now being installed at the critical infrastructure around the world. The tools and techniques used by militaries, defense organizations, and police include GPS spoofing, drone nets, RF jammer guns, among others, in the anti-drone system.

The defense end user segment is expected to lead the counter-UAS market during the forecast period, 2021-2031. The major factor contributing to this growth is the rising need to deploy anti-drone solutions at military bases, airports, and critical infrastructure. The increasing number of commercial drones pose a threat and continue to create a challenge for critical infrastructure and has led to the need to deploy counter-UAS and protect users at large.

North America is expected to dominate the global counter-UAS (anti-drone) market during the forecast period. The factor attributing to the growth of this region is the presence of the key companies highly engaged in developing and providing counter-UAS (anti-drone) solutions. Additionally, the continuous technology advancement by key players in the counter-drone technologies is another factor contributing to the growth of the market. Apart from this, the region’s companies are in long-term relationships with military organizations and other commercial counter-drone technology players, which is expected to propel the space sector in the region.

Neoantigens Vaccines Can Bridge the Treatment Gap by Training the Immune System to Recognize Tumor Cells

As per BIS Research analysis, the neoantigen cancer vaccine market is projected to reach $1826.1 million by 2030 from $227.1 million in 2023, at a CAGR of 34.69%. Growth in this market is expected to be driven by the ever-rising patient pool of different cancers and significant investment in research for development for cancer neoantigen vaccines to fill in the current treatment gaps. However, there are significant challenges that are restraining the market growth. These challenges include the high cost of therapy (personalized cancer vaccines), manufacturing complications, and lack of therapeutic biomarkers and assays. The market is still at the nascent phase with more than two-thirds of the neovaccines in the early stages of development. However, few neovaccines companies such as OSE Immunotherapeutics, Immunovative Therapeutics, Medigene, and Roche have positioned themselves to launch their neovaccines in the market within the upcoming years. That being said, the neovacc...
